A list of tips, do's, and don’ts for getting the most out of your mosaic.

Specifications

  • File size: Ideally 5600px x 3150px

  • Aspect Ratio: 16:9

  • Shape: Landscape imagery is preferred

  • File type: JPG

  • Brightness: Lighter imagery is preferred over dark

✅ Do:

  • Lighter photos make the overall image easier to read

  • The horizontal layout is also more easily applicable

❌ Don’t:

  • Darker photos make the overall image look muddy

  • Vertical layouts can be tricky to use in many web applications

✅ Do: Do use large, recognizable subjects with strong features and natural colors

❌ Don’t: Don't use small subjects, fine details, complicated compositions, or thin text

Mosaic Tips

  • Provide 200+ photos to start out your mosaic and make it more robust.

    • ✅ More photos result in a diverse look

    • ❌ Fewer photos result in a repetitive look

  • When using a logo for your mosaic image, a light background with a dark logo is best.

    • ✅ Lighter images showcase the photos better

    • ❌ Dark overlays make it harder to see people
